Andrew Foster: Girlie Girls and Manly Men
Gallery: Earl McGrath Gallery
April 20 - May 13, 2006
Gallery Director: Dane Jensen

Girly Girls and Many Men (also known as "Paintings and Drawings") was Andrew Foster's second solo show in Los Angeles, and his first at the Earl McGrath Gallery. Foster's subject matter revolves around his usual potent mixture of whimsy, sensuality and social commentary. In Andrew's work the viewer sees satirical renderings of All-American myths depicting aging superheroes, uncouth pinups, and faceless 9 to 5ers in rumpled business suits. Foster holds a B.F.A. from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. In addition Andrew also has a teaching position at the Palos Verdes Art Center. Foster's previous solo show was at the Solaris Gallery in West Hollywood in spring of 2005. Andrew Foster continues to live and work in Los Angeles, CA.
