Artist: Syndrome Studio Exhibition: Volume Two: Digital Art and Illustration Cinespace Hollywood, CA April 27 - June 2, 2004
Syndrome is a multi-discipline design/ fine art collective based in Los Angeles. Together, Micah Hancock, Mars Sandoval and James Larese, comprise Syndrome. This series shown here entitled Inspiration? consists not only of works on canvas seen here but also a video as well.
Inspiration? is a compendium of the sights, sounds, and people of the MTA bus system here in LA. The artists gathered their source material by riding busses for days and through countless photographs, video, interviews, and recorded sound bites documenting their experience they were able to assemble this stunning array of digital collages. The feel of Inspiration? is diverse drawing from the raw to the mundane and juxtaposing it with their slick, architectonic dissection of the physical elements which comprise the bus itself.
Syndrome Studio continues to enjoy great success with their commercial endeavors, as well, with their development company of the same name specializing in motion graphics and commercial/broadcast work with such clients as MTV, VH1, Coors Light, LG Electronics, and Atlantic Records . They have shown their works of art in Northern and Southern California including the Crewest Gallery and Cannibal Flower.
