Exhibition: Volume Two: Digital Art and Illustration
Cinespace Hollywood, CA
April 27 - June 2, 2004

Bob Dob has always embraced the fundamentals of traditional illustration. Using his highly rendered style he creates thoughtful illustrations just like the great illustrators who inspire him. His traditional approach to painting has taken him on an odyssey from airbrush, to watercolor, to acrylic, and finally to oils that he feels will be his mainstay. This series explores elements of design and advertising of children’s toys. They maintain an element of timelessness to which everyone can associate the works with their own childhood experiences.

Bob attended Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles, California where he earned a BFA in Illustration in 2001. His numerous achievements include being selected for CA 2003 Illustration Annual, Society of Illustrators Los Angeles 2002, and receiving awards for Blue Cube Arts 2002 Annual, Broadcast Design Award for Best In-House Illustrator and Best On-Air Promotion in 2002. His client list for his commercial illustration include Disney, ABC Channel, and American Airlines among others. His fine artworks have been seen at Blue Cube Gallery, Cannibal Flower and La Luz de Jesus.
